In Impact Inside nodes refer to any activity, output, outcome, impact, or goal. This example connects an activity to an output but the same process will be used throughout the ToC creation process.
1. Click "New Activity"
2. Select the text box inside the new node and enter in your activity. In this case our activity is "Plant Saplings"
3. Click "+ Add Outputs"
4. Select the previous node that you would like to relate to your new node.
5. Create a new node and then hit "enter". In this case we are creating an output that is "Acres of Trees planted."
6. Describe how the previous node contributes to the new node. In this example as we plant more saplings we increase the acres of trees planted. Click save.
7. You will need to create a web of nodes that are all connected and all have causal relationships that make sense. If you are not able to provide a causal relationship for all of your nodes either consider adding additional nodes that do make sense, removing any nodes that do not make sense. This process makes sure the project is staying on task and all of the nodes have a purpose in the project.
